Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is submitted to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it only to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create routine logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Data Is Used
We use the limited data to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to county and state record portals, archive and library collections, or outside search services. Each destination's privacy terms control information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results, which are supplied by an outside company.
Data Recipients
Providers that host or support the service process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes stated above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles on the service for us to expose.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a visitor under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Oregon Consumer Privacy Act rights, where applicable, are set out in ORS 646A.570 through 646A.589, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, and certain opt-outs. Because we retain very little, requests can usually be resolved by checking the contact mailbox and server logs and removing information found there. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Oregon, Clackamas County, or the City of Milwaukie are outside our control; requests concerning them belong with the relevant custodian under the Oregon Public Records Law, including ORS 192.311, 192.324, and 192.329.
Policy Changes
We will post a revised policy here when this policy changes. Continued use after the posting means you accept the revision.
